Betty Ann Chapman
December 30, 1943 - March 15, 2009



Betty Ann Chapman, 65, of Huntington, WV, widow of Homer Lawrence Chapman, Jr., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at her residence.  Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5(KJV) A home going celebration will take place at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Celebration Church (former Jefferson Elementary School), 610 West 19th. Street, Huntington, with Pastor Steven Wayne officiating. Burial will be in Chapman Family Cemetery, Hurricane, WV. Betty was born December 30, 1943 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late George Beverly and Addie Brewer Roy. She was an officer and a member of the King of Glory Prophetic Miracle Ministries and was a graduate of Victory Bible Training Center. Survivors include: a daughter, Laura Chapman; a son and daughter-in-law, Homer L. Chapman III and LeAnna Chapman; a son-in-law, Charles Adkins; and four grandchildren, Drew Adkins, Chryssa Adkins, Candace Chapman, and Ian Chapman, all of Huntington; two sisters, Brenda Watts and Linda Harless, both of Huntington; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Eugene Roy, Sr. and Carolyn "Tootie" Roy of Proctorville, OH, her twin brother, Bil Roy and Arlene Roy, and James Roy, Sr., all of Huntington, and George Michael Roy Sr. and Louise Roy of Indiana; a brother-in-law, William "Gig" Watts of Ona, WV; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Leanna Smith and a special nephew, Tom Harless III, both of Huntington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington at 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702. Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
