Obituary



Betty Ann Blake, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015, in Huntington Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted noon Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born March 30, 1934 in Huntington a daughter of the late Jennings Bryant Lynch and Bertha Ann Nelson Lynch. Her husband, Ben Lyle Blake; a son, Jimmy Blake; a brother, Danny Lynch; a granddaughter, Angela Blake Walker; and a great granddaughter, Katelyn Ann Ireland, also preceded her in death. She was a former employee of Sears and Strike Zone. She was a member of Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Todd Belville and Debra Ann and Wayne Hanlin, all of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Marie Blake of Hope Mills, NC; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Blake, Benny Allen Blake II and his wife, Christy, Jennifer Keesee, Kim Marshall, Sabrina Ireland and her husband, Mitchell, Chad Blake and his wife, Danielle, and Wayne Hanlin II and his wife, Caitlin; 22 great grandchildren; and a great great grandson. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary.
