Charles E. "Charlie" Smith, Jr., 77, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Roger Mooney officiating. Burial with military rites provided by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Charlie was born February 3, 1938 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Charles Edwin Smith and Frances Evans Smith. He was an Air Force Veteran, and was a Huntington business owner. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Diana L. and Danny Smirl of Savannah, GA, Vicky L. and Marc Frye of Ft. Mill, SC., Angie C. Smith of Huntington, and Crystal and Ryan Flanigan of Princeton, WV; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck and Debbie Smith and Joseph M. and Sandi Smith, all of Huntington; and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society in his name. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Chapman's Mortuary.
