Obituary

Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come, She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 31: 25-28.
Rosalie Clary Chadwick, 88, of Kenova left this world to walk into the arms of her Lord on Monday, April 4, 2016, at the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 14, 1927 in Huntington, WV., to the late William and Bernice Clary. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 65 years, Carl Chadwick; daughter, Jeanette (Michael) Billups; grandchildren, Aaron ( Sochill) Billups, and Allison (Ryan) Kazee;great-grandsons Elijah, Blaine, and Harrison Kazee, as well as Brooks Billups to be born in May. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, and cousins and especially her “baby” dog, Stewart. Rosalie worked early in her marriage at Sylvania but chose to become a full time homemaker with the birth of her children. She devoted herself to making a loving home for her family as well as raising them to love the Lord. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook. Rosalie had a generous spirit, often going out of her way to provide a home cooked meal or care for someone in their time of need. As a lifelong member of Madison Avenue Christian Church, Disciples of Christ she sang in the choir, praising God with her beautiful voice for many years. Friends may call from 6- 9:00 PM Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
