Margie Irene Mays, 88, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 23,2016 at 2:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Tim Jayne. Burial follow Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Wayne, WV. Margie was born on March 8, 1928 in Wayne County, WV the daughter of the late Elliott and Bethena Riggs Staley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Leo Mays, one son Steven Mays and two brothers and eight sisters. She was a graduate of Wayne High School, a member Buffalo Valley Missionary Baptist Church and attended Jefferson Avenue Church of God. She retired from Fosters Memorial Home. She is survived by her two sons and daughter in law: Doug and Donna Mays and Joseph Mays. two grandchildren and spouses: Shaun and Sheena Mays and Melanie and Scott Slayton. Six great grandchildren; Dakota, Emma, Kylie and Kaylee Mays and Kinley and Khloe Slayton. One brother and sister: Freelin ( Opal) Staley and Sue (John) Lewis.
