John Pierce Robinson, 88, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. John was born August 21, 1927 in Cabell County to the late John Ernest and Elizabeth Collins Robinson. He was an independent construction worker and a veteran of the U S Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother Effie Robinson, and a daughter Helen Virginia Robinson. He is survived by his wife Loretta McMillian Robinson; sons John E. Robinson of New York, John A. Robinson of Huntington, Shawn Robinson of Wayne, WV and Ron Smith of Florida; daughters Dorothy Robinson of New York, Brenda Robinson of New York, Mary Robinson of Huntington, Libby Hunt, Janet Hoch of New York, Tina Robinson of Hurricane, Lisa Kriz of New York, and stepdaughters Crystal Cabell of Huntington and Angela Thacher; a host of grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday at Burlington, Green Lawn Cemetery, South Point, Ohio, by Rev. Jesse Simmons.
