Gary Dale Peters, 75, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away April 2nd, 2016 at home. He was born February 23, 1941, in Wheeling, WV to Glen B. Peters and Pearl L. Peters. Gary attended Huntington East High School and enlisted in the US Air Force from which he received an honorable discharge. Gary loved being outside and had a passion for fishing. Gary always said a bad day of fishing was better than a good day of anything else. Gary was a pipefitter and belonged to the Pipefitters Local #521 for over 50 years. He retired in 2005, from which he remains in good standing. He is preceded in death by his mother Pearl Peters and great grandson Spencer Fogle. Left to cherish his memory is his father Glen B. Peters, brother Steve Peters and wife Janice of Michigan. Daughters Angel Lake and husband Bobby, Susan Peters, Evelyn Peters and son Doug Peters. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews and his dear friend and caregiver Debra Lear. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Tom Hysell. Burial will follow in Peters Family Cemetery, Ft. Gay, WV. Friends may call from 11 am until service time on Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
