Obituary
James Lewis Insco, 89, of Kenova, W. Va., passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Mark Booth. Burial will be at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, W. Va. He was born January 15, 1927 in Huntington, a son of the late Leo and Nancy Midkiff Insco. He was a retired machinist for Connor Steel of Huntington and also for Fairchild Machine Shop of Ashland, Ky. He was a WW II U. S. Army Veteran. He was a member of VFW Post #1064 of Huntington and American Legion Post # 93 of Kenova. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Kenova. He was a member of the Elks, B.P.O.E. # 313 of Huntington. James was also an avid bowler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Leo Insco, Jr. and Pat Insco. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Macel Bentley Insco, three daughters and two sons-in-law Lee Ann Insco Lester (Terry) of Greensboro, NC, Sandy Insco of Kenova and Jeannie Insco Stevens (Barton) of Huntington, five grandchildren and a spouse Shellie Staten, Julie Lester DeRose (Nick), Andrew Lester, Raice Stevens and Shane Stevens, two great grandchildren Kalaeb Adkins and Kylie Adkins and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 6th Ave., Huntington, WV 25701. American Legion Post # 93, of Kenova will conduct Military Graveside Rites.
