Nellie Lea Legg
(January 8, 1928 - August 4, 2014)

Nellie Lea Legg, 86, of Barboursville, WV passed away August 4, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Barboursville, by Pastor George Surgeon. Nellie was born January 8, 1928 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late George Barrett and Fannie Pauline Bradshaw Surgeon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dorris DL Legg, one brother, George Surgeon and two sisters, Helen Sellards and Donnie Meadows. She is survived by one daughter, Karen (Bill) Woodrum of Barboursville; one son, Leonard (Cindy) Legg of Paintsville, KY; one sister, Judy Walters of Durham, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Christie Lea Hayslette (Michael Stanley), Christopher Douglas Woodum, Lenny (Tina) Legg III, Michelle Elizabeth Beth Woodum (Seth Troney); Matthew Barrett Barry Woodrum, Jason Grant (Peggy) Arnett, and Victoria Kay Legg; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
