JANET MARIE FARLEY McCALLISTER
(September 3, 1942 - August 12, 2014)



JANET MARIE FARLEY McCALLISTER, 71, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, surrounded by her family and friends from The Heritage Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Charles Vance. Janet will be laid to rest next to her husband James Roy McCallister, in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock, W.Va. Janet was born September 3, 1942, in Harts Creek, W.Va., a daughter of Elva D. and Mabel Mae Booth Farley. Janet was a loving mother to four children and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, DIY decorating and demonstrating her wonderful Sense of Humor. Janet shared her childhood with Donna Mae, Shirley, Bethel, Ethel, Dora, Gene, Delmer, Buck, Rod, David and Randy. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband James Roy McCallister. She is survived by two sons, Mike (Jennifer) McCallister and Phil McCallister, both of Barboursville, W.Va.; two daughters, Sandy McCallister of Danville, W.Va., and Angie (Tom) Nibert of Proctorville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Melissa Rodgers, Jessica, Sarah and Peyton Newman, Anthony and Kaitlyn McCallister, Hannah Koerber, Stephanie and Josie McCallister and Maddie Nibert; four great-grandchildren, Connor Le, David Michael Rice, Blaire Mackenzie Rice and Samantha "Sammie" LeLaikes. Janet sends one final "Thanks Baby" to the staff at The Heritage Center, especially to her angel sent from Heaven, Marybeth Ash-Moore who watched over her daily. A heartfelt thank you to Bobbie Stymiest, Janet's longtime caregiver and Angie's very close friend. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
