BUDDY ROBINSON
(September 16, 1942 - August 25, 2014)



BUDDY ROBINSON, 71, of Owingsville, Ky., passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital after losing a brief battle with cancer surrounded by family. He was born on September 16, 1942, in Gilbert, W.Va., son of the late Nancy Ann Gibson Robinson and Cecil Robinson. He was also preceded in death by sisters Geneva (Mel) Cline, Zola Toler, and Ruby Stevens; brothers Gordon and Lee Robinson; niece Rosa Dean and son Donnie Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Paulette (Pam) Robinson; his daughters Theresa Hatfield of Polksville, Ky., and Paula Robinson of Barboursville; his sons John and Leana Robinson of Owingsville, Ky., Larry and Jamie Robinson of Ray City, Ga., and Tommy Robinson of Berea, Ky.; his seven grandchildren Michael, Courtney, and James Robinson, Megan and Emily Templeton, Heather Coleman Robinson, and Kayla May; his sister JoAnn Sowders; his brother Rev. Tommie and Truby Cline; numerous nieces and nephews, a host of friends and his beloved horses Lakota, Sassy and Grayboy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, at Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
