Amber Malina Counts Hanners
(1979 - January 17, 2017)



Amber Malina Counts Hanners, 37, of Huntington, WV, went home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Amber was a graduate of Vinson High School, Class of 1998. She was a former psychology student of Marshall University. Most importantly, her most cherished role in life was being a mother to her pride and joys, Logan and Grayson. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Max and Ruth Pennington of Huntington, WV, her paternal grandfather James Counts of Ashland, Ky., and infant brother Matthew Counts of Ironton, Ohio. She is survived by her husband Jeremy Hanners and sons, Logan and Grayson Hanners of Huntington; her mother, Sandra Pennington Sites of Huntington and father Ronald Counts Sr. of Ashland, Ky.; stepmothers, Brenda Counts and JoAnne Counts of Ashland; paternal grandmother Lucy “Katie” Counts of Ashland; sisters, Sarah Pennington Johnson of Huntington, Brittany Counts, Becky Counts of Ashland; brother Ben Counts of Ashland, nephews Caleb Johnson and Jacob Neal of Huntington, WV; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Amber was dearly loved and will always be missed greatly. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Docks Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
