Julia "Judy" Ruth Bowden Skaggs
(November 5, 1935 - January 10, 2017)



Julia “Judy” Ruth Bowden Skaggs, 81, of Barboursville, passed away January 10, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Ridgelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Huntington. She was born November 5, 1935 in Red House, WV, a daughter of the late Lonnie Bowden Sr. and Ruth O’Lynn Bowden Popolozio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Skaggs Sr., brother, Lonnie Bowden Jr., daughter-in-law, Lisa Skaggs, and two great-grandchildren, Brittany Cremeans and Grayson Skaggs. She is survived by her children, Ronald and Carol Skaggs Jr., Edward and Kim Skaggs, and Mark Skaggs all of Barboursville, and Pamela Skaggs of Huntington; sisters-in-law, Ruth Rivers, Rebecca Bowden and Rhonda Wagoner; brothers-in-law, Robert Skaggs and Rodney Skaggs; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, one uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her greatly. There will be no visitation. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
