Obituary

Thomas "Tom Tom" Walden, Jr.
(December 6, 1956 - January 1, 2017)

Thomas “Tom Tom” Walden, Jr., 60, of Huntington, WV, was called to his Heavenly home January 1, 2017. He was born December 6, 1956, in West Hamlin, WV, a son of Betty Jane Baker Walden of Wayne and the late Thomas Walden Sr. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Theresa Miller and brother-in-law, Darrell Hammond. He is also survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Keith Swathwood of Wayne, Debbie and Larry Hagley of South Point, OH, and Jeannie Hinton of Huntington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Katie Walden of Willow Wood, OH; and David and Marybeth Walden of Huntington; his longtime companion, Lois Berry. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Minister Danny Evans. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. Tom was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He never knew a stranger. He always had a warming smile and a helping hand for those who needed it. Tom would want everyone to take the time to stop and smell the roses. He will be dearly missed by all. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. We love you Tom Tom.
