Donald Richard "Ritch" Thompson
(February 19, 1958 - January 3, 2017)



Donald Richard “Ritch” Thompson, 58, of Butler, PA passed away January 3, 2017. He was born on February 19, 1958, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Richard R. Thompson and Bethalene Parkins Thompson. He graduated in 1976 from Barboursville High School. He was a graduate of Butler County Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired employee of the Veteran’s Administration Regional Hospital. He enjoyed riding his Harley, playing his guitar, listening to various genres of music, loving animals and most of all loving and being with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Boyce Thompson; son, Corey Thompson of Erie, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Ian Gamble of Butler, PA; grandchildren, Macey, Cohen, and Lincoln Gamble; sister and brother-in-law, Sonya and Chuck Hennecke of Cattlettsburg, KY. A memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, West Virginia. Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. There will be a private family burial at White Chapel Gardens Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
