Obituary

Jack Jeffery
(November 20, 1952 - October 26, 2017)

Jack Jeffery, 64, of Barboursville, WV passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital. Jack was born November 20, 1952 in Logan, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents; Silas Jeffery and Dora Damron-Jeffery of Logan and stepson; Justin Wilburn of Barboursville. He retired from Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital in 2010 as a member of the maintenance department. Jack attended Norway Avenue Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Bowen) Wilburn Jeffery; daughter Tina (Jeffery) Schrock, her husband Terry of Milton, WV; stepson Shane Wilburn, his wife Kelly of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren; Emily Thevenin, Jaelyn Schrock, Ella Wilburn, Cody Wilburn, Cayleigh Wilburn and Emery Wilburn. He also leaves behind his best furry-friend Maggie and two special pals, Steve Day and Jack Humphrey. Jack loved his family with every beat of his heart and his grandchildren were what made that loving heart beat. He made it known that it was his duty to spoil them in everyway. Jack and his wife shared two passions; boating at Beech Fork and “The Walking Dead”, two things they couldn’t get enough of. He also loved to throw a line in the water and sit in his swing and watch the dogs play. He was a character, to say-the-least and if he wasn’t picking on you, he probably didn’t like you. He will be remembered for his loyalty, devotion, and humor. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville.
