Billy M. Jordan
(December 4, 1936 - October 2, 2017)



BILLY M. JORDAN, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 2, 2017. He was born in Cabell County, West Virginia, on December 4, 1936, the son of Mack and Lucille (Wooten) Jordan. Billy was an Air Force veteran and retired from Smith's Transfer. He owned and operated his own trucking company where he worked with his son, Bobby. Billy gave his life to the Lord when he was 32 years old and dedicated his life to serving others. A few of the ministries he was involved with included driving the church bus for Grace Gospel Church, ministering to the inmates of Western Regional Jail, and conducting services at local nursing homes where his daughter, Kimberly, would sing. Billy graduated at 72 years of age from the Tri-State Bible College after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Bible Theology. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Carol Jordan; two sons, Gregory and Leslie Jordan; a grandson, Billy James Jordan; a sister, Betty Hampton; and a brother, Lowell Wooten. He is survived by a son, Bobby (Mona) Jordan; a daughter, Kimberly (John) Hathaway; three sisters, Barbara (Lee) Shockley, Beulah Thomas, Bonnie (Calvin) Thomas; and his grandchildren, Christina (Deron) Lewis, Bobby (Hyemie) Jordan, Kattie Walters, Jason (Angela) Jordan, Amber (Ben) Campbell, Afton (Brent) Reedy, Jonathan Strong, Alan Strong, Adam Strong, Steve (Amy) Strong, Sabrina (Brenton) Pyle, Ashley Parker, Joseph Jordan-Hathaway; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews. Pastor Paul Meadows, Pastor Tim Messinger and Pastor Greg Lunsford are officiating the funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel in Barboursville. Burial will be Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
