Marshall Edward Fitzwater Sr.
(April 24, 1945 - November 19, 2014)

Marshall Edward Fitzwater, Sr., 69, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born April 24, 1945 in Gauley Bridge, WV a son of the late Burl Ivan and Cora Carte Fitzwater. A sister, Freda Carte and two brothers, Virgil Ray Fitzwater and Fred Fitzwater, also preceded him in death. He was a member of Jackson Avenue Church of God. Survivors include: his lifelong companion, Wanda V. Rose; a daughter, Lisa Fitzwater; two sons, Michael Wayne Fitzwater and Marshall Edward Fitzwater, Jr.; fourteen grandchildren, Kassie, Kadi, Tyler, Shawna, Ashley, Emily, Lindsay, McKenzie, Cody, Marshall III, Kaylie, Aidan, Shanna and Kaden; a great grandchild, Macey; and special nephews, Vernon Fitzwater, Ronnie Fitzwater, and Michael Carte. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, November 24, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Randy Lavender officiating. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home.
