Obituary

Juanita Jewell Edwards Clark of Huntington, widow of Charles Alexander Clark, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born on the 29th day of June to the late Elgie Lee and Ruby Morrison Edwards. Her son, Charles A. Clark, Jr., also preceded her in death. Juanita was a retired secretary having worked for the former CandO Railroad and as a legal secretary for her husband's law firm, Charles A. Clark and Associates Attorney at Law. She was a graduate of Barbourville High School, a longtime member of the Huntington Women's Club, and a former member of the Board of Trustees of Cabell Huntington Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Carolyn Clark Lewis of Huntington; two grandchildren, Katharine Dent and her husband, Todd Dent of Huntington, and Clark Edward Lewis of Huntington; three sisters, Winona Bartram of Proctorville, OH, Thelma Lee Sweat of Tennessee, and Dreama White of Florida; and a brother, Leland Edwards and wife, Nadine, of Florida. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Huntington, or to the Alzheimer's Research Association. A special thanks go out to the 5th floor Oncology at Cabell Huntington Hospital for their care; to Lisa Brooks, LPN, of Maxim Health Care of Charleston for her excellent care and compassion for the last 10 years; and lastly to Dr. James Goetz for his care and house calls. The family is having a private graveside service at Ridgelawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 with Alan Spitz officiating.
