Ida Bernice Jackson, 82, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with CT Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane, WV. Ida was born December 29, 1933 in Blackberry City, WV a daughter of the late Willard and Nellie Tinsley Musick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Jackson; a daughter, Darla Diane Jackson; two sisters, Naomi Glaspy and Nikki Whitt; and two brothers, Sidney Musick and John Musick. She was a long time member of Tabernacle of Praise in Hurricane. Survivors include: a daughter, Dreama Ann (Jim) Lester of Huntington; four sons, Louis Randall Jackson of Las Vegas, NV, Robin Wayne (Julia) Jackson of Lebanon, TN, Rickey Darrell Jackson of Columbia, TN, and John Timothy (Kimberly) Jackson of Mansfield, OH; a sister, Cookie (Bob) Sorley of Sevierville, TN; three brothers, Dallas Musick of Sevierville, TN, David (Darlene) Musick of Augusta, GA, and Donnie (Coletta) Musick of Columbus, OH; eight grandchildren, Michelle Robinson, Jennifer Chapman, Amanda Lemaster, April Wiles, Amber Campbell, Meagan Valentine, J. R. Lester, and Cameron Lester; and several great grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 pm Thursday at Chapman's Mortuary.
