David W. Cole, 76, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born January 23, 1940 in Logan County, WV, a son of the late Rolfe Connor and Carrie Marie Foley Cole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jane Cole; a son, David Cole, Jr.; a daughter, Sherri Cole McFeeley; and three siblings. He retired from Special Metals after 31 years. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal (Bill) Bragg and Betty (Tra) Davis, all of Huntington; two sisters, Lokie Kinder and Linda Brown; four brothers, Ralph Cole, Ronald (Ardella) Cole, Franklin (Rowena) Cole, and Gary Cole; four grandchildren, Melissa Bates, Michael (Courtney) Conkright, Brittany McFeeley Burns (Jesse) and Emily Davis; and great grandchildren, Camron Bates, Angel Hundley, and Addison Burns; and a host of step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at the Woodmere Memorial Park, Abbey of Remembrance. Entombment will follow in the Woodmere Garden Building. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to service time at the mausoleum. Please deliver flowers to the funeral home before 12:30 pm Wednesday. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
