Charles Edward Handley, 71, of Wayne, husband of JoAnne Handley, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, in Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington. Charlie was born November 23, 1944 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Howard and Mary Louise Davis Handley. One brother, Cecil "Buddy" Samples also preceded him in death. He retired from ACF Industries, with over 39 years of service. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Rev. Emual Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Survivors in addition to his wife include, 2 daughters, Patty Ann Wisman of Palm Harbor, FL, and Tara Lea Runyon of Huntington; 3 grandchildren, Cameron Wisman, Michelle Evans (Jarrod), and Brent Runyon; very special friends, Rard Adkins and Huey Adkins. He was a Lifetime member of the NRA, Bass Masters, and B.A.S.S. He loved to hunt and fish, enjoyed the outdoors, and Bluegrass music.
