Obituary



Peggy Ann Cremeans, 81, of Huntington, widow of William Denver Cremeans, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 27, 1936 in Huntington a daughter of the late Herman Walter and Mable Vickers Ellis. Her son, William Timothy Cremeans; sisters, Betty Hutchison and Barbara George; and her brothers, Herman Ellis, Jr., Montey Ellis, Paul Ellis, and Donald Ellis, all preceded her in death. She was a former magistrate assistant having worked for Glen Verbage and James Earl. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Cremeans of Huntington; five grandchildren, William Alexander, Betty Alexander, Forest Wood, and Simon Cremeans, all of Huntington, and Kelly Cremeans of Denver, CO; and seven great grandchildren, Alexis Alexander, William Denver Cremeans, Simon Cremeans, Janessa Cremeans, William Nicholas "Nickey" Alexander, Arisa June Calvo, and Nina Faye Calvo. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family and a memorial service will be at a later date.
