Lenore Faye Scarberry
(April 4, 1951 - June 17, 2017)



Lenore Faye "Punchie" Scarberry, 66, of Huntington, widow of Rodger Lee Scarberry, died Saturday, June 17, 2017 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born April 4, 1951 in Ironton, OH a daughter of the late Ronald E. and Juanita Mae Dameron McKnight. In addition to her parents and husband, a step father, William E. Burke, who raised her, also preceded her in death. She was retired from St. Mary's Medical Center, having worked in both food service and housekeeping. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 9738, Guyandotte. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Tony Leader of Catlettsburg, KY., April and Donald Drake of Huntington, and Cary and Tony Lomba of Virginia Beach, VA; a son, Joe Willis and his fiancée, Emma Smith of Huntington; seven grandchildren, Shelby and her husband, T.J., Tori, Tony, Donald, Kadin, Jalyn, and T.J.; four great grandchildren, Rebekah, Trey, Kylie, and Jayden; two sisters, Judy Johnson and Cindy McKnight; and three brothers, James W. McKnight and wife, Clara McKnight, Ronald McKnight, and Rusty McKnight and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, June 23, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Buddy Muncy officiating. "Punchie" was loved by many people who grew close to her and some special friends, whom some called "Mom" and many considered her like a sister. She always ended every conversation with "I Love You but Jesus Loves You More". Friends may visit with family after 1:00 pm Friday at Chapman's Mortuary.
