William Berkeley Dawson, Jr., of Virginia, Beach, VA, age 63, passed away on June 1, 2017, at his residence. Berk was born November 19, 1953 in Huntington, WV to Wm. Berkeley Dawson, Sr. and Sarah Frances Comstock. He graduated from Barboursville High School and attended Marshall University. He was a member of IBEW 317. He relocated to Virginia Beach in the mid 1980's. Berk was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his father, Berkeley and step-mother, Kitty Dawson of Huntington, WV and his mother of Los Angeles, California. He has a daughter, Amanda Dawson Pontifex (Patrick) of Virginia Beach; sisters, Kim Esch (Mark) of Reno, Nevada, Amy Floyd of Huntington, WV, and Sarah Essex of Los Angeles, CA; nieces, Ashley Webb (Tom) and Megan Floyd; a nephew, Colten Floyd; great nephews, T.J. and Joey Webb; and great niece, Evelyn Webb; and an aunt, Ruth Ann Moon of Florida. There was a celebration of his life at his residence in Virginia Beach. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. The family has requested no flowers.
