Glenda Scharlet Hampton, 67, of Huntington, wife of Ray L. Hampton, died Friday, June 9, 2017 at Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth, OH. She was born March 2, 1950 in Greenville, KY a daughter of the late Rawleigh and Loveda Albro. She was also preceded in death by two brothers. She was a former executive director for low income property in Greenville, KY. In addition to her husband, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Clay and Christy Taylor of Louisville, KY; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Greg of Perryville, KY; three grandchildren, Caden, Cole, and Dalton; half-brother, Darrin Albro pf Greenville, KY; and two step sons, Phillip Michael Hampton and John Patrick Hampton, both of Huntington. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family with cremation, as per her wishes.
