Roger Dale Jefferson
(November 4, 1967 - January 18, 2014)



In loving memory of Roger Dale Jefferson, 46, of Huntington, WV, who passed away, Saturday January 18, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Roger was born November 4, 1967 in Huntington a son of the late Delbert Franklin Jefferson and Lottie Pearl Ball Jefferson of Milton, WV. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers Joseph (John) Jefferson and Worthey Jefferson both of Milton, WV and a brother in law Michael Lewis of Huntington. Roger is survived by five sisters Evelyn Louise Jefferson, Brenda Jefferson, Mary Spurlock of Milton, Carolyn Lewis of Huntington and Bonnie Ayers and her husband Shawn Ayers of Herndon, VA; two brothers Othel Jefferson of Milton, WV and James Jefferson of Phoenix, AZ.; two nieces Jamie Chapman of Milton and Kristina Bucore of Phoenix; one nephew Jamie Jefferson of Phoenix and three very good friends Clyde Whitt and Okey Napier both of Huntington and Brian Penix of Charleston, WV and many other friends and coworkers too numerous to mention. Roger attended Marshall University and worked for FEMA as a WV State Emergency Planner Supervisor. He loved his job and took great pride in what he did, Roger loved photography, traveling and archaeology and always took many photographs of the places he visited. Roger is deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. We love you Roger and we will meet you again someday when we join you on the other side with our Mom, Dad and brothers. A celebration of life will be conducted at 6:30 PM Monday at the Reger Funeral Chapel.
