Warren Joseph McCoy
(May 8, 1930 - January 12, 2014)

Warren Joseph McCoy, 83, of Huntington, husband of Nell Anne Hensley McCoy, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 12, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Locust Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Randall Robertson. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. He was born May 8, 1930 in Matawan, WV, a son of the late Robert and Cora Hatfield McCoy. He was retired from the US Army and was an electrician with the IBEW Local 317 of Huntington. Warren was a 50 year member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church of which he was also a Deacon. He was a 50 year member of the YMCA and was a member of the Buena Vista Lodge #60 AF&AM of Prichard, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. Additional survivors include two sons and daughters in law Keith and Rhonda McCoy and Greg and Darlene McCoy; daughter and son in law Judith and Kevin Lewis of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren Paula (Andrew) Langston, Monica (Matt) Tully, Derrick McCoy, Dakota McCoy and Parker Lewis and four great grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home.  The American Legion Post 93 of Kenova will conduct military graveside rites. Warren cherished his church and family more than anything. He and Nell were married for 61 wonderful years and he was so proud of his children and grandchildren. Warren was an avid fisherman and could often be found on the lake with his friends and family. He loved to talk about his grandkids and all of their accomplishments. We lost a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, neighbor and friend, but he awaits all of us in heaven with that warm smile and greeting!
