Obituary

Don Macri
(March 21, 1925 - January 15, 2014)



Don Macri, 88, of Huntington, husband of the late Betty Rose Macri, passed away Wednesday January 15, 2014 at his residence. Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at 10 am Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Huntington, by Father Dean Borgmeyer. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. He was born March 21, 1925 to the late Vincenzo and Josephine Asaro Macri. Don was the president of Holiday Pools. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII from 1943 to 1945 in the South Pacific and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 93 of Kenova. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Mary Rose Ransick, Marina Perovich and Teresa Macri Waterman. Survivors include his five sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Macri, Mr. and Mrs. Don Macri, Mr. and Mrs. Greg Macri, Mr. and Mrs. Vince Macri and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Macri and four brothers Pat, Joe, Mike and Jim Macri. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 pm at the funeral home.
