George Ingwerson
(November 24, 1930 - July 9, 2013)


MR. GEORGE S. INGWERSON, 82, of Huntington, W.Va., widower of Janice Ingwerson, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Rivers Bend Health Care, South Point, Ohio. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va., by Rev. Phil Wilson. Burial will follow. He was born November 24, 1930, at Nehawka, Neb., a son of the late Elba and Italy Plybon Ingwerson. He was a retired machinist from DJ Manufacturing and was also a machinist at Houdaille Industries. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force, and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, formerly Riverview UMC. He is survivied by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Brent Napier of Huntington and Michelle and Robert Stigall of Charleston, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Melissa Hunt and Sara Lyons; a brother, Monroe Ingwerson of Ona, W.Va.; and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the cemetery from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
