Margaret Jane Thompson Knight

Margaret Jane Thompson Knight, 88, of Huntington, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully July 17, 2013 at her residence. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 pm Saturday, July 20,2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Mr. Larry Lambert officiating. Margaret attended Farmdale Church of Christ. She enjoyed music, art, crafts, quilting, painting, gardening and reading her Bible. She retired from Stone and Thomas where she worked in the men’s department. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Ruth Thompson, and one brother, Joseph Thompson. She is survived by her husband of 61 years William C. Knight; two sons Waine Knight and William Paul Knight; two daughters and sons-in-law Mildred “Milly” and Donald Houchins, and Lynn and Joey Sullivan. Also surviving her are grandchildren, William Michael Knight, Timothy Robertson, Christopher and Gabriella Robertson, Marissa Turney, Chad and Tiffany Privett, David and Natalie Sharp, Joshua Knight and J.D. Sullivan; one sister Ann Brittner of Pittsburgh, PA and nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Her final months were filled with friendship, joy, and comfort provided by her special caregivers from Hospice of Huntington Kay Curry, Beth Louden and Betty Walden. Friends may call from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
