Mr. Robert Dewayne Toppings, 46 of Huntington, WV, made his final journey Tuesday July 23, 2013 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 26, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary with Rev. Cleo Watson officiating. He was born January 3, 1967, in Huntington, a son of the late Jennings Toppings, Jr. and Colleen Colegrove Toppings. He was disabled and a former employee of the Herald Dispatch. He was also preceded in death by his older brother, Arlen J. Toppings. He is survived by 3 daughters and his grandchildren, Heather Butcher (Rodderick and Jacob), Angelina Sutphin (Gage) and his youngest daughter who is at home, Colleen Toppings. And 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Angela Toppings, at home, Sharon (Danny) Watson, and Sheila (Mike) Laney, a niece Amora Hudson and a nephew Chris Hager and a host of Family and friends, and a very special friend Tisa Listen. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6 PM until 8 PM Thursday, July 25, 2013.
