Helen Alfreda Armstrong 88, of Huntington, WV, widow of Raymond Armstrong, died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Bishop Edwin S. Harper officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. She was born June 22, 1924, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Otto and Sarah Turner Martin. One sister, Navada Adkins, and one brother, Clarence Martin also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: 5 daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara and Joseph Turley, Brenda Armstrong, Donna Armstrong, and Karen and Bill Bolen all of Huntington, and Lisa Armstrong of Florida; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lillie Mae and Earl Walton also of Huntington, and Audrey White of Urbana, OH; and one brother, O.E. Martin of Chillicothe, OH; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from noon to 2:00 Tuesday at the funeral home.
