CALVIN C. CLARK
(September 15, 1928 - June 30, 2013)



CALVIN C. CLARK, 84, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Cross Roads United Methodist Church with Pastor David Cartwright and Pastor Bill DeMoss officiating. Inurnment will occur at a later date in Woodmere Memorial Park. He was born September 15, 1928, in Big Creek, W.Va., a son of the late Sampson Herbert and Chattie Mullins Clark. In addition to his parents, Calvin had four brothers precede him in death, Leon Paul Clark, Herbert Elwood Clark, Harry E. Clark, and Guy Clark. Calvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church and a retired railway clerk with the former C&O Railroad. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jewell Brewster Clark; a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Kimberly Clark of Grayson, Ky.; a brother, Bill Clark of Romney, W.Va.; a sister, Carrie Lutz of Titusville, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Derek Clark of Louisa, Ky., and Blake Clark, Cade Clark, and Zoe Clark all of Grayson, Ky. Flowers will be appreciated and donations may be made to Cross Roads United Methodist Church in his name. Friends may visit with the family 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday July 3, 2013, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
