Margie Shannon Skean
(February 1, 1922 - June 6, 2013)



Margie Shannon Skean, 91, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday June 6, 2013. She was born February 1, 1922 in Princeton, WV a daughter of the late William Lacy and Cleo Caldwell Shannon. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two husbands, M. Jud Turner and James Glen Skean. She worked formerly for the WV Department of Highways and the Cabell County Tax Department. Survivors include a daughter, Judith Turner (David) McCormick of Logan; a son, Tim (Kim) Turner of Huntington; a brother, Ralph (Beverly) Shannon of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren, Amy Ferrell, Joni (Alden) Meade, all of Lexington, KY, Casey Ryan McCormick of Charleston, Candlelynn (Dustin) Snell of Colorado, and Mark (Kelly) Turner of Michigan; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday June 8, 2013 at Dock's Creek Cemetery, Kenova, with Dr. Rick Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Highlawn Presbyterian Church or Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 604 Stratton Street, Logan, WV 25601. A procession will leave Chapman's Mortuary at 2:30 PM Saturday to the cemetery.
