Delbert McKinley Gibson, Sr.
 (March 2, 1954 - June 14, 2013)

Delbert McKinley Gibson, Sr., 59, of Huntington, husband of Sherry L. Basenback Gibson, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born March 2, 1954 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late James Alex and Mary Josephine Partlow Gibson. Delbert was a member of DAV Chapter 67 and a past commander of American Legion Post 99 of Brookville, FL, for nine years. He was a cook by trade. Additional survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Marie and Jamie Lee Flora; a son, Delbert McKinley Gibson, Jr.; two sisters, Ethel Peters and Elaine Blake; and a brother, James Gibson. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday June 17, 2013 at Ridgelawn Abbey of Devotion in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit after 12:30 Monday at the cemetery.
