Obituary


David Clay Tufts, 79, of Merritt Island, FL, formerly of Huntington, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. He was born October 4, 1936 in Huntington a son of the late Walter Clay Tufts and Anna Sims Tufts. A granddaughter, a brother, Richard Tufts; and a sister, Suzanna Justice, also preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Army veteran; was a pilot; and had formerly worked for NASA. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Beverley and David Kimbler of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Barbara Tufts of Kenova, WV; a brother, Jack Tufts of Florida; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be private services at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
