Obituary



Debbie D. Cooper (Pauley), 59, of Huntington, WV, Loving Mother, Grandmother and Friend to many, passed away after a long illness, Friday October 23, 2015 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Memorial Service will be held 8:00 PM Wednesday October 28, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington. A Celebration of her life, per her request, will be held at the VFW Post 9738 immediately following the service. Debbie was born March 8, 1956 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Linville C. and Mildred Maurice Spradling Jones. She was a member of the VFW Post 9738, and an active member of her community including PTO past president and former president of the Guyandotte Historical Association. She was also preceded in death by her lifelong companion Leo E. Pauley. Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Ann Miller Knight and husband Timothy of Barboursville, Michelle Miller Brandon and husband Joshua of Winston-Salem, NC, one brother, Larry A. Jones of New Port News, VA, four grandchildren, Alexa Nicole Miller, whom she raised, Krista Lee Hanna, Brittany Ann Morton, and Timothy Knight, Jr., two great grandchildren, Avalon Roselyn Bess and Emma Ruby Bailey, special Aunt Juanita Bonnie Ayers and Aunt Gloria and Uncle Bill Trogdon, and a nephew Mark Allen Jones. The family would like to thank all those who helped with her care. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to her daughter, Michelle Miller to offset final expenses. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
