Obituary
Pamela Jo Mason, 50, of Lavalette, WV, joined her parents in eternal life at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House on October 10th after a brave ordeal with Stage 4 breast cancer. Born February 4, 1965, to Perry and Beverly Mason in East Liverpool, Ohio, she graduated from George Washington High School, Charleston, WV, and attended WVU and the University of Charleston. A clever, talented artist and excellent chef, she worked in the restaurant, bar and catering business for 22 years in the Myrtle Beach area. ln 2012, she moved back to WV and worked in the Contracts division of Goodwill Industries. She is a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Huntington Museum of Art. Pammy's smile lit up a room and her happy disposition endeared her to all she knew. She had a great sense of humor and never complained or criticized others. An avid sports fan, she loved Nascar, especially Dale Earnhart, Jr. and the Cleveland Browns who gave her a "win" on Sunday. She enjoyed all genres of music. As the beloved little sister of Christie (Tim) Kinsey, Lavalette, WV, Ann (Ches) Marks, Madison, Wl, and Perry (Debbie) Mason, Cleveland, OH, she is also survived by nieces, Emily (Matt) Lavigne, Rachel, Phoebe and Kathryn Mason and nephews John and Michael (Sarah) Marks, and T.R. (Mary Lynn) and Andrew (Kelly) Kinsey, 5 great nieces and 1 great nephew. Her life was blessed with cousins Dana Fidinger, Kathie Briggs and family, Kirk (Danuta) Mason, Julie (Kurt) Eversole, Butch (Joycelynn) Burns, Cheryl Graham, and a very special aunt, Lois Fidinger. She leaves many devoted friends including Stephen Boggs of Wilmington, NC, Kerry, James and Amelia Smith, Scott Harrison, Debbie Topping, Linda Pleasants and her constant companion of 12 years, Happy, her rescue Maltese. On Saturday, October 17th, Pastor John Minihan, assisted by Reverend Ed Bowen, will conduct Pammy's Life Celebration at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, immediately followed by a reception in the Friendship Hall. At her request, Pammy was cremated. A private committal and spreading of her ashes will occur later in the day. While flowers are appreciated, please consider memorial donations to the First Presbyterian Church, 1015 5th Avenue, Huntington, WV, 25701, and the Good Samaritan Fund at Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation for women with breast cancer, 1340 Hal Greer Boulevard, Huntington, WV, 25701.
