John Francis, 81, of Hurricane, WV, husband of Rosemary Jones Francis, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in Cabell Health Care Center, Culloden. He was born August 27, 1934, in Whitman, WV, a son of the late Morgan and Iva Mae Dyer Francis. His sister, Barbara Butcher also preceded him in death. John was a 1953 graduate of Logan High School and attended Western State in Gunnison Colorado. He attended Grace Baptist Temple in St. Albans. He was a retired sales engineer having retired from Long Airdox Company, and formerly worked for Persinger Inc. John's passions were his family, golfing and gardening. In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Larry Husk, and Vicki and Todd Rule, all of Culloden; and three grandchildren, Mikelle Workman, and husband, John, of Huntington, Dr. Kyle Johnson of Portland, Oregon, and Seth Husk of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor Brian Dean officiating.
