Obituary



Jacqueline Dare Hines Cooper, 80, of Ona, WV, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, in Paramount Senior Living, Ona, WV. She was born October 18, 1937, in Huntington a daughter of the late John "Jack" Hines and Vivian Dare Campbell Hines. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Irwin Hines. She was a retired employee of the former West Virginia State Hospital in Huntington. She enjoyed spending time with her family and classical music. Mrs. Cooper was an accomplished artist early in her life and was a lifelong admirer of the arts. She received exceptional care and enjoyed many special friendships with the staff at Paramount Senior Living in her recent years. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Cooper of Huntington, WV, sister Connie Crews of Ocala, Florida, her uncle Charles E. Hines of Huntington, WV, a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline Suzanne and Rick Wilson of Piedmont, SC; two sons and daughters-in-law, Casey and Diana Harbour of Ashton, WV and Bruce and Pamela Harbour of Huntington, WV; five grandchildren, Taylor Catherine Wilson of Piedmont, SC, Gwendolyn Abigail (and B.J.) Huffman of Summersville, WV, Marina Gato of Tampa, Florida, Nathan (and Kim) Curry of Buffalo, NY and Knijuana Harmon of Fayetteville, NC; seven great grandchildren, Tyler Curry, Nathan Curry, Layla Dare Hensley, Jase Huffman, Laila Harmon, Shaun Harmon, and Bleu Harmon. There will be no community services.
