Obituary


Samuel Mahlon Davis II, 69, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Mary's Medical Center from heart failure. Samuel was born May 22, 1949 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Samuel M. and Jeannette Smith Davis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a European automotive consultant. Survivors include his wife M. Jane (VanFossen) Davis; one brother, Lawrence Neale Davis (Annette) of Hurricane, WV; one sister, Jennie Klosterman (Rob) of Tybee Island, GA; one sister-in-law, Paula VanFossen-Brown (Tom) of Columbus, OH; three nieces, Rachel Kacmar (Tim) of Golden, CO, Amelia Brown Schmiedel (Justin) of Brecksville, OH, Samantha Klosterman of Tybee Island, GA; two nephews, Chris Davis of St Albans, WV, and Jacob Brown of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by beloved companion, Blake E Davis. The family would like to thank Dr's Richard DelCheccolo, Mark Studeny and Navin Rajagopalan, their nurses and the St Mary's Home Health professionals for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association (162 Court St., Charleston, WV 25301). A private Celebration of Samuel's life will be held at a later date.
