Lois Evon Ross
(March 18, 1940 - March 24, 2018)



Lois Evon Ross, 78, of Branchland, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Peaceful Valley Church, Branchland, by Rev. Mark Terry and Rev. Donnie Davis. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery, Branchland. She was born March 18, 1940 in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Robertis and Thelma Davis Merritt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Delcie Epperly and Nola Stewart and one granddaughter, Amy Mays. She is survived by her husband, Hersel Garron Ross; three daughters, Sheila Mays (Ira), Sherry Parsons (Terry) and Thelma Ross (Alan); two sons, Leo Alberts (Rebecca) and Gregory Perry (Teresa); two sisters, Joyce Adkins and Oranga Jean Casto; four brothers, Woodrow Merritt (Joyce), Wallace Merritt (Isabel), Charles Blankenship (Donna) and Ronnie Blankenship (Natasha); 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church
