Doris Jean Ward
(October 29, 1932 - March 6, 2018)



DORIS JEAN WARD, 85, of Barboursville, passed away March 6, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Monday, March 12, 2018, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Willie Mays. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born October 29, 1932, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Chet White and Shannon and Frances E. Yoho Burchell. She was preceded in death by two children, Phyllis Jean France and Jackie Lynn Adkins. She is survived by her husband, John Douglas Ward; daughters, Patricia Chaffin of Barboursville, Ella Roe (Larry) of Lavalette, Delores Smith (Rick) of Barboursville, Shanna Blankenship (Mitchell) of Lavalette and Misty McCoy of Ripley, W.Va.; sons, Brian Chaffin (Billie) of Huntington and Rodney Chaffin of Kentucky; sons-in-law, Daniel France of Florida and Rodney Adkins of Barboursville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
