Marjorie W. Bauer Costanzo
(July 4, 1917 - December 3, 2012)



Marjorie W. Bauer Costanzo, 95, of Wheeling WV, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Point Pleasant, WV on July 04, 1917, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Vallie and Elizabeth Durst Bauer. Marjorie was a member of St. Michael Parish and belonged to St. Michael’s Christian Mothers and The Catholic Daughters of America, Women’s Club of Wheeling, Wheeling Hospital Auxiliary and Congregation of St. Joseph Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louis Joseph Costanzo; daughter, Marjorie A. “Margie” Michitti; brothers, Sidney, Manford, Vallie Jr. and Chris Bauer and sisters, Lorena Floyd and Clarice Jones. Surviving are three sons, Louis J. Costanzo III (Jane) of Dallas, WV, Mike V. Costanzo (Susan) of Dublin, OH, and Tom Costanzo (Jill) of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Mary E. (George) Smoulder of Wheeling; son-in-law, Raymond Michitti of Wayne, PA; two brothers, Wayne Bauer of Proctorville OH and Mac Bauer (Jo) of Point Pleasant, WV; two sisters, Garnet Schwartz of Point Pleasant, WV and Gladys Chapman of Huntington, WV; sister-in-law, Helen Boyles of Cypress, CA; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where vigil services will be held at 7:00 pm with Deacon George Smoulder officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday, December 7 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Valley Christian Soldiers at P.O. Box 221 St. Clairsville, OH 43950, United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley at 51 11th Street, Suite 321 Wheeling, WV 26003 or St Michael Parish School at 1221 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
