Obituary

Hobert Farris
(October 7, 1918 - December 19, 2012)



Hobert Farris, 94, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. He was born October 7, 1918 in Sciotoville, OH a son of the late Thomas and Ethel Pinkerman Farris. Four sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death. He was retired from Ohio State University and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Survivors include: his loving wife of 72 years, his angel, Helen Farris; five children, Betty Manley and Delores Blevins, both of Huntington, Sandra (Clifford) Waller of Grayson, Ky, Judith (Rick) McCall of Columbus, OH and Jimmy (Glenna) Farris of Marysville, OH; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Dennis Morrello officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary.
