Edward Ray Muncy, 85, of Huntington, widower of Letha Muncy, passed away Thursday December 20, 2012, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born January 25, 1927, in Jackson, KY, a son of the late Casey and Mary Harvey Muncy. Edward was retired from C.S.X. as a machinist, and a member of Harmony United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, preceding him in death were a son, Michael Lee Muncy; a twin sister, Edna Mae Ellis, sister, Gladys Swann; and a brother, Carl Muncy. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Muncy of Huntington; a daughter-in-law, Glenna Muncy McLain and husband, Kenneth, of Huntington; two grandsons, Adam Michael Muncy of Longview, TX, and James Michael Muncy of Huntington; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends who cared for him, including Patricia whom he would have a sparkle in his eyes for when she stopped by to visit him always bringing him treats to eat. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday December 22, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Phil Wilson officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit with the family one-hour before services Saturday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
