Jack E. Davisworth
(June 18, 1933 - September 18, 2012)



Jack E. Davisworth, 79, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Caudle Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Crook Cemetery, Huntington, with military graveside rites by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16. Jack was born June 18, 1933 in Harlan, KY a son of the late Edwin H. and Mary H. McClure Davisworth. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Violet Warf Davisworth; and four brothers, Jimmy Davisworth, Edwin H. Davisworth, Thomas Joe Davisworth, and William Davisworth. He was a heavy equipment operator with the Palm Beach County Solid Waste Authority and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 9738 and American Legion Post 16. Survivors include: his wife, Wanda Turley Woodrum Davisworth; a daughter, Ruth C. Fitzpatrick and George of West Palm Beach, FL; a son, Ronald G. Bias and Sara of Suffolk, VA; two step sons, Steven Woodrum of Parkersburg, WV and Howard Woodrum and Eva of Huntington; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Bias, Jessica Bias, Tiffany Ballangee and Erick Smith; four step grandchildren, Josh, Kenleigh, Evan and Shelby Woodrum; and two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Amy Smith. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary.
