Susan Harriet Pace
(July 26, 1941 - September 26, 2012)

Susan Harriet Pace, 71, of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at her residence. She was born July 26, 1941 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Herschel and Frances Whitlock Shaver. A sister, Mary Patricia Sliger, also preceded her in death. She was a retired accounts payable clerk at Service Machine Company and was a member of Cox Landing United Methodist Church, where she was currently the treasurer for the United Methodist Women’s Group. Survivors include: her husband of 50 years, Donald Lee Pace; two daughters and a son-in-law, Stefanie and Joe Grace of Louisville, KY and Melody Strickland of Loganville, GA; a son, Donald Lee Pace, Jr. of Huntington; five grandchildren, Sarah Strickland, Stacie Strickland, Tanner Strickland, Connor Grace, and Megan Grace; two nieces Barbara Linke of Amarillo, TX and Lisa Deladurantaye of Greenfield, IN; and a nephew, Jeff Sliger of Amarillo, TX. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Cox Landing United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Mouser officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 PM Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
