William Christopher "Bill" Gretsinger
(June 29, 1948 - September 20, 2012)



William Christopher “Bill” Gretsinger, 64, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Wilmington, NC, passed away Thursday September 20, 2012, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born June 29, 1948, in Dayton, OH, a son of Patty Lou Godsey Benson of Ozark, AR, and the late William C. Gretsinger. His stepfather who raised him, Earl Anderson preceded him in death as well as a grandson Connor Palmer and his Father-in-law, Howard Klein. He was in sales of heavy equipment most of his life and while living in Wilmington he was in the Mortgage Business and worked for the Worsley Company. He enjoyed working with Little League and Babe Ruth while his son participated and really enjoyed Nascar Racing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Mandy and Wesley Wright of Huntington, WV, and Melanie and Morgan Fore of Troutman, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Jessica Gretsinger of Frederick, MD.; four grandsons, Liam Palmer, Deacon Palmer, and Brycen Wright, all of Huntington and Brantley Fore of Troutman, NC; his wife, Lois M. Klein Gretsinger of Frederick, MD; and his mother-in-law, Muriel Klein of Frederick, MD. Donations may be made in his name to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, at P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709, or to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, WV, with Ernest M. Ritchie officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
